Oliphant & Pomeroy operate an Allergen Control Management System, in both our production facility to minimise the risk of accidental cross contamination of allergen containing foods with non- allergen containing foods. That said, if you have a serious allergy to any of the listed allergens we would regrettably advise them not to risk eating our products even if the allergen is not stated as included in the product, due to a very small but present risk of allergenic cross contamination.

 

Delivery

Our Buns, Pastries & Croissants are available for nationwide delivery on a 1-2 day service. The delivery charge can be calculated at the basket stage or at the checkout.
You can have them delivered straight to your front door or office from our bakery or sent as a gift to a lucky recipient.

We offer the following shipping rates:

1-2 Weekday Service (small box weighing less than 1Kg) – £3.95
1-2 Weekday Service (larger box weighing more than 1Kg) – £5.95

We current use a 24-hour tracked delivery service from The Royal Mail. This means is that whilst the vast majority of orders will be delivered within 24 hours of collection by Royal Mail, it is not guaranteed, and unfortunately on occasions can take longer.

If you have a date your delivery needs to get to you, please do order earlier than you would think you would need to. Oliphant’s buns and pastries last much longer in the special bags we use than you would imagine and so you can place an order at least a week in advance and the buns will still be fresh for baking on arrival. If you need a delivery on a specific day guaranteed, then please contact us and we can look into a guaranteed delivery service for you.

Baking Instructions

Baking Instructions Plant-Based Almond Croissants

The croissants we make are presented part-baked and so require a short final bake in your oven. Cooking them is extremely easy but only if you have a conventional oven as they are not suitable for microwave cooking. Our croissants can be baked in a microwave oven that has a convection only setting. We have also successfully heated the croissants in a clean air fryer with no oil added. Due to the diversity of models of these alternative baking methods, however,  the perfect setting for your appliance might require a little experimentation! The instructions below are for baking in a conventional fan oven.

1. Pre-heat your oven to 175°C, 345F or Gas Mark 3.
2. Place your defrosted croissants on a baking tray and place in the centre shelf of the oven and bake for 12 minutes or until flaky on the outside and warm in the middle.
3. Carefully remove from the oven (using heat protective oven gloves naturally) and enjoy!

Our products are packed in an ingenious biodegradable bag that maintains a hygienic, oxygen free atmosphere that, provided the bag is unopened, can keep the contents fresh for up to 5 days after delivery. However, once received, if you do not intend to bake and eat your croissants within a couple of days, we recommend you freeze your sealed bags as soon as you receive them. Once a pack is opened, the contents must be eaten within 48 hours. Our croissants are suitable for freezing (up to 6 weeks) but must be thoroughly defrosted before baking. Our celebrated classic plant-based croissant is brushed inside with a cherry syrup, filled with a luxurious almond frangipane and topped with more frangipane and flaked almonds.  Prepared for you to finish with a 12-minute final bake in the oven to fill your home with the delicious aromas of fresh croissants! Enjoy at their absolute best, fresh from the oven and dusted with the icing sugar supplied. Suitable for freezing.
