For us, such good ice cream is made from great ingredients, sound science, rigorous hygiene with a guiding principle of good taste.

Our hand-made products are made by our team of chefs in small batches and they do this with care and skill. Nothing artificial finds its way into our ice creams.

When we started out making ice cream, we thought everyone made their ices from scratch. We have always taken fresh and natural ingredients and turned these into an ice cream confection that is greater than the sum of its parts.

It makes the process a little more tricky, but the end result is an ice cream that is authentic and individual in flavour.

vanilla

Our pure vanilla ice cream is made from the freshest milk and cream and flavoured with natural organic Madagascan vanilla extract flecked with vanilla seeds. This ice cream is possessed with a sublime creaminess and subtle natural vanilla flavour with a hint of caramel.

chocolate

Our Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream is made from the freshest milk and cream and flavoured with the best quality, Belgian dark chocolate. A proper chocolate ice cream, plain and simple.

strawberry

Our Strawberry Ice Cream is made from the freshest milk and cream and flavoured with pureed strawberries –pips but no bits allowed. Unlike some, ours has a soft pink colour and totally natural strawberry flavour.

salted caramel

Using the fresh milk and cream and our own caramel (hand-made by us from sugar, more cream and Maldon sea salt) we produce an ice cream that has a wonderfully complex flavour profile. An instant mild saltiness makes way for a caramel sweetness and satisfying creamy body. It is, quite literally, a sensational ice cream.

liquorice

Our lovely liquorice Ice Cream is made using fresh milk and cream and natural liquorice. An unusual foray into the wonderful world of confectionery ice cream, this is a rather special flavour with a smooth creaminess and distinctive liquorice and aniseed notes.

peanut butter

Oliphant’s utterly nutty ice cream layered with seams of pure peanut butter loveliness. An ice cream for the super nut-tolerant amongst us.

sicilian lemon sorbet

Oliphant’s lemon sorbet has the characteristic tart but sweet taste of the Sicilian lemons used in its making. The sunny warm days, cooler nights and rich volcanic soil in Sicily makes a perfect climate for growing this citrus wonder. A well-made sorbet surely is a perfect celebration of a Sicilian lemon.

mango sorbet

Deliciously sweet and totally tropical, teaming with fruit, our mango sorbet is made with 100% unsweetened Alphonso mango puree.

dark chocolate sorbet

A dark chocolate sorbet whose smoothness and decadence belies its name. The complete absence of dairy intensifies the chocolate flavour without becoming astringent. Especially recommended for pleasure seeking vegans.

coffee

Oliphant’s Coffee Stracciatella Ice Cream is made with the freshest milk and cream and coffee made from arabica beans for a proper coffee flavour. At the final stage of freezing and churning, we drizzle Belgian dark chocolate in the mix which freezes in an instant to form fine shards and flecks of chocolate in the creamy coffee ice cream base to produce the authentic Italian style stracciatella.

raspberry sorbet

Refreshing, tangy and fresh with a deliciously sweet pink hue, this prim sorbet is made with 100% unsweetened Raspberry puree.

pistachio

Pistachio, beloved ice cream flavour of all true epicureans* Ours is particularly true to type, made with 100% pure pistachio paste sourced from Sicily.

*except the nut intolerant ones clearly

dairy-free vegan caramel hazelnut

A cashew milk based iced confection with a smooth texture flavoured with our own vegan caramel and hazelnuts.

dairy-free vegan vanilla

An elegant oat milk based vanilla iced confection with a smooth ‘creamy’ taste and texture and flavoured with natural organic Madagascan vanilla extract flecked with vanilla seeds.

mint stracciatella

This flavour is made with the freshest milk and cream and natural peppermint extract, for a creamy but refreshing mint flavour. Our mint ice cream has no green colouring, added to it.
At the final stage of freezing and churning, we drizzle Belgian dark chocolate in the mix which freezes in an instant to form fine shards and flecks of chocolate in the creamy mint ice cream base to produce the authentic Italian style stracciatella.
